Excerpts from the THREE STEPS WITHIN Press Release says the following about the Trio:

“The sound of THREE STEPS WITHIN is uniquely South African with an international outlook. The Three Composers are bringing together their respective original material and with an open mind allowing it to go into new directions. This TRIO also celebrates the heritage of African & South African music by developing new arrangements of old and new Classics. Improvisation is an important aspect of this outfit, both as a Compositional tool as well as a featured aspect.

THREE STEPS WITHIN believes in developing lasting relationships & special connections with audiences. An accessible presentation of music therefore becomes an integral ingredient every time THREE STEPS WITHIN performs. All three musicians also have a great passion for Development & Music Education. So this outfit is always looking out for opportunities to impart knowledge and share from their experience with younger musicians in particular.

THREE STEPS WITHIN look forward to having you, our audience, be a part of our journey and to share that which is within us, in order to shape new mindsets towards a better world for all.”
