Crispy T’s Tropic of Gemini Season 2 starts off with a “double sided” Episode 11! Pays tribute to late his grandfather and welcomes his godson’s birth

Alberton based radio personality and producer Crispy T has brought in his winter project called Tropic of Gemini, starting with a double sided (two part) Episode 11 to kick off season two of the drum and bass series. Both episodes were dedicated to two very special people in his life, his grandfather who passed away on the fourth of June in 2017 and his god son who was born last week. Both events happened during the gemini zodiac season.

The double part project was chosen to represent duality of death and life, where both operate at tandem and represented through the numeral “11” to mark the symbol of Gemini. where something ends – it brings about a new beginning.

Crispy T had this to say regarding the Episode 11 – Remembering Washington Sixolo (available for free download on Audiomack):

“This mix is dedicated to my grandfather Washington Sixolo who sadly passed away on this day last year after some long term illness. The mix contains songs which are considered dark Drum and Bass to signify that even through darkness the music lives on. We are just in a transition where a situation ends and then something new begins.

You were truly great grand dad! My love to you always for eternity and beyond! #togALB1450 “

For Episode 11 – Story of Aidon (available for free download on Audiomack), Crispy T played on Pusha T’s song called Story of Adidon. The release had coincided with his god son’s birth! Crispy T had this to say about the project:

“This is dedicated to my godson Aidon Adam Harrison born on Tuesday the 29th of May 2018, under the Gemini season. Also a happy birthday to his father Tre whose birthday was on the 3rd of June.

The reason why the blue and liquid theme was used, was due to the vision I had received of Aidon where he was surrounded by Water to signify abundance prior to his birth. Also the blue which is generally associated with boys made it the more suitable to incorporate liquid drum and bass for the mix dedicated to him”
