Two new battles from Zach Is Nobody in one week, including a breakout performance and some unfinished business

Lavatory Records

TIFFIN, OH… June 9, 2017… Zach Is Nobody has already made a name for himself as one of the top concept battle rappers in the world.  In addition, he’s successfully crossed over to the more traditional form of battle rap as well.  This dual threat ability was put on full display during the week of June 5, 2017, as he had a battle drop on No Coast Battles and a concept battle on Stellar Fusion Entertainment.

On Monday, June 5, 2017, Zach Is Nobody vs. Orlando Coolridge dropped on No Coast Battles, one of the longer running rap battle leagues, based in the Midwest.  Zach got at Orlando with a variety of jokes, bars, punch lines, and more.  In addition, he also shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with a unique approach in round one.  To many, this was his breakout performance in battle rap, outside of concept battles.

You can see Zach Is Nobody vs. Orlando Coolridge here (caution, language advisory):

Not only did the work week start with a great battle from Zach, it ended with one as well.  On Friday, June 9, Stellar Fusion Entertainment released “Generosity vs. Greed 2.0 (3PFD vs. Zach Is Nobody)”.  Why is this battle titled “2.0”?  It’s because it is a rematch between 3PFD and Zach Is Nobody on this same topic.  The original battle went down in February 2015 on SLAP Battles.  At this time, it was meant to be a tryout battle for Zach Is Nobody, but 3PFD had to step in as a last minute replacement due to a cancellation by Zach’s scheduled opponent.  The results were pleasantly surprising as these two turned out a great two round battle; however, it felt incomplete.  It is no longer incomplete, as 3PFD and Zach Is Nobody brought back their first performance with a brand new third round that is sure to leave the audience hype.

3PFD summed up the rematch saying, “As expected, this was a crazy battle.  Zach and I got a brother type of bond, which sometimes leads to a healthy sense of competitiveness.  In this case, it made for a great rematch.  In the end, we keep pushing and encouraging each other to get better, so I only look and hope for more great battles, music, and ministry from Zach.”

Zach summed up both battle releases and the difference in battling in traditional and concept leagues by saying, “I felt like my No Coast battle has the most replay value of any of my regular battles to date.  I came up with the idea of the rematch (Generosity vs. Greed 2.0) with another longer round because it felt like it was bringing things full circle from my first battle.  I love both (traditional and concept battles), and I hope God allows me to continue to do both styles of battling.  They both have a place and a purpose and are really fun.

About Stellar Fusion Battles:

Stellar Fusion Battles is the premier concept rap battle league and ministry in the world.  In concept battles, as opposed to the traditional rap battle, which pits two opponents against each other in a verbal boxing match to prove who the superior MC is, concept battles requires that MCs adopt a character that represents either a vice or a virtue.  Then, in a lyrical clash of punchlines, metaphors, bars, and hard hitting a-capella rap, Stellar Fusion Battles brings the same intense entertainment value of battle rap that fans love.   In addition, Stellar Fusion presents truth and life lessons through the themes of the battles.

15-YEAR-OLD PHENOM STARS IN STELLAR FUSIONS FIRST OHIO EVENT: Grateful (3PFD & Zach Is Nobody) VS Ungrateful (Mac Rally)

Lavatory Records

TIFFIN, OH… May 15, 2017... On Friday, April 7, 2017, Stellar Fusion Entertainment held their first event Ohio event, “Vortex”, which starred 15-year-old phenom Mac Rally vs. 3PFD and Zach Is Nobody in “Grateful vs. Ungrateful”.

One against two?  That almost doesn’t seem fair, and in most cases it wouldn’t be.  However, due to a last minute cancellation by Mac Rally’s scheduled opponent, the league was forced to improvise. With 24 hours’ notice, 3PFD and Zach Is Nobody, who were already set to face each other on this same card, decided to “team up” to fill three rounds against Mac Rally.  The results were surprising dope on all sides, as 3PFD and Zach Is Nobody both came with some killer last minute bars, and Mac Rally showed tremendous improvement from his concept battle debut to hold his own against two vets.

Press release by battle rapper and Pastor Zach Is Nobody – on his latest battle against Pry The Greatest

Lavatory Records

PITTSBURGH, PA – December 30, 2016… Christian Ministry and Battle Rap. These are two worlds that to many would seem far apart, however, to Zach Deaton, (aka Zach Is Nobody) these two worlds represent his vocation, calling, and passion. He has been successfully able to combine these two worlds over the last two years, first by rising to the main stage of the concept rap league SLAP Battles (aka Showing Love Applying Pressure). From there, he branched out into the secular world of battle rap by competing twice in No Coast Battles.

Zach Is Nobody battled Cincinnati rapper Pry The Greatest in St. Louis this past fall. The footage from this battle recently dropped and can be seen here:

In addition to continuing to pastor and compete in both the concept and secular arenas, Zach Is Nobody will join friend and fellow Battle Rapper 3PFD in launching a new concept rap battle league in 2017. When asked about the new partnership, 3PFD stated, “I’m excited to work with Zach in our new concept battle league/ministry in 2017 and beyond. He’s a great rapper and friend that brings a lot to the table, and I’m excited for what is next for us.”

SLAP Battles: Loyalty VS. Disloyalty, The battle for your allegiance (Press Release)

Lavatory Records

PITTSBURGH, PA… October 2, 2015… SLAP Battles presents the next video release from their Bars Over Bridges Main Event.  Loyalty vs. Disloyalty aka “The Battle for Your Allegiance” deals with the pain and struggles related to loyalty, betrayal, and backstabbing in a both a historical manner and in a modern day, real life approach.

This battled featured Cutright, one of the top lyricists in the Just His League versus Zach is Nobody, who impressed at the Pittsburgh Danger Room Tryout Event back in February and earned this spot on the Bars Over Bridges main card.  In recapping Zach’s journey into SLAP, Pittsburgh President 3PFD said, “Zach hit me up asking to try out at our February (Danger Room) event.  I had not heard of him, so I didn’t know what to expect, but when I saw his performance I was floored.  He’s a student, both of the Word and of battle rap, and he really grasped the concept of SLAP well and brought his own unique style to the table.”

This battle was specifically personal to Zach is Nobody. “I actually came up with the concept for this battle because it hits close to home for me. I loved getting to share how Jesus can relate to us in those situations because He was betrayed in the worst betrayal of all time, but in the end it led to His victory! I really liked how the battle turned out. Cut did an amazing job. He brought the energy, wordplay, and bars this battle needed. It’s definitely got replay value”, he explained.

Cutright was also complementary of Zach and the matchup itself saying, “We had an amazing match up and Zach is a lyrical rapping machine!! I had to dap him up a few bars in the middle of the round cause it was that dope.  As far as my part in the battle I just wanted to highlight every aspect of disloyalty I could think of in hopes that someone may see a place where their loyalty has fallen short and try to address that area in their life. We all fall short, but his grace is sufficient.”

Check out the battle here:

Stay tuned for the final release from Bars Over Bridges on October 23 and more from SLAP Battles.  Also, if you are attending Flavor Fest in Tampa, FL, make sure to check out the SLAP Battles/Just His League table, and keep an eye out for some surprise battles.

About SLAP Battles:

The concept for SLAP., which stands for “Showing Love, Applying Pressure,” was the brain child of Everette “Pop” Moore of the JustHis League.  As opposed to the traditional rap battle, which pits two opponents against each other in a verbal boxing match to prove who the superior MC is, SLAP requires that MCs adopt a character that represents either a vice or a virtue.  Then, in a lyrical clash of punch lines, metaphors, bars, and hard hitting a-capella rap, SLAP. brings the same intense entertainment value of battle rap that fans love.   In addition, SLAP presents truth and life lessons through the themes of the battles.

“SLAP Battles is a powerful platform, not only are you getting crazy dope lyrics, but bringing perspectives on topics that otherwise may never be seen.  SLAP is giving voice to topics that people think on and may be afraid to speak about.  SLAP tackles those issues with creativity and purpose.” – Phresh, President of the JustHis League and Hip-Hop Artist
